Why sign up for the RMV-HandyTicket?
After installing the RMV-App you should register right away for the RMV-HandyTicket. Your benefits are:
- Easy payment by debit or credit card
- Overview of your monthly ticket purchases
- Participation in the RMV-Smiles bonus program
The purchase of tickets is also possible without registration by using the payment method girogo or by charging to your mobile phone bill. However, additional service fees from the mobile phone service provider apply.

How do I activate via e-mail?
After registration we will send you an e-mail with the activation link to your registered e-mail address. Please follow this link within 72 hours to successfully complete the registration. Otherwise, your temporary registration expires.

Why do I need the Mobil-PIN?
For the use of the RMV-HandyTicket, your Mobil-PIN will be sent to you via SMS after registration. With the Mobil-PIN you can log in in the RMV-App by using the tab "More" > "User account".
There you can find the "Stay logged-in" option. When using this option you do not have to re-enter your Mobil-PIN for every purchase.
If you do not want to use this option, you just need to close the RMV-App and it is protected from unauthorized ticket purchases. You remain logged-in and, after opening the RMV-App, you can still access the previously purchased tickets. You need to reenter the Mobil-PIN only if you want to buy a new ticket.Nach oben

How can I change the Mobil-PIN?
You can change the Mobil-PIN by logging in at www.rmv.de and go to "meinRMV" > "RMV-HandyTicket" > "Changing your Mobil-PIN".Nach oben

I did not receive a SMS after registration - what should I do?
Please check if the correct mobile phone number is stored in your HandyTicket account. You can view and, if necessary change, your mobile phone number after logging in at www.rmv.de and go to "meinRMV" > "RMV-HandyTicket" > "HandyTicket settings" > "Changing your mobile phone or SIM card". After changing the mobile phone number, please request a new Mobil-PIN. Nach oben

Alternatively, you can get the Mobil-PIN sent to you again by logging in at www.rmv.de and go to "meinRMV" > "RMV-HandyTicket" > "Changing your Mobil-PIN". The Mobil-PIN will be sent also via SMS to the mobile phone number stored in the RMV-HandyTicket.
Attention: After three incorrect attempts the RMV-HandyTicket user account is automatically blocked for your safety. This will cause the error message "Keine Ausführungsberechtigung". To unlock your account, or to change your Mobil-PIN, log in at www.rmv.de. You can request an e-mail with your Mobil-PIN when you follow the path "meinRMV" > "RMV-HandyTicket" > "HandyTicket settings" > "Changing your Mobil-PIN" > "Request Mobil-PIN".Nach oben

Forgot login data to "meinRMV“ - what should I do?
If you cannot remember your user name, you click on the following button „Request meinRMV login data". You will receive your meinRMV user name when you enter the e-mail address and select the "Password via e-mail" option.

It is also possible to receive the user name through the RMV-App under "User account". There you just click on the button "Forgot login data" and select on the following page "Forgotten meinRMV login data?”. You will receive your meinRMV user name when you go to "Request meinRMV password”, enter the e-mail address, and select the "Request password by e-mail” option.
Alternatively, you can get your login data sent to you again by logging in at www.rmv.de and go to "meinRMV" > "Forgot Password?". Your login data will be sent via e-mail.Nach oben

Where can I find the General Terms and Conditions (AGB)?
You can view the General Terms and Conditions for the RMV-TicketShop and the RMV-HandyTicket in German at www.rmv.de (go to footer). Alternatively you can find the General Terms and Conditions here:

Which access rights are required for the RMV-App and why?
Network communication: Necessary to establish a connection to the Internet and to perform searches and ticket purchases.
Your location: Necessary to assist you in finding nearby bus or train stops by GPS or network-based location. This is only needed if you use this type of search for bus or train stops.
Calls (read phone status): Necessary to generate a unique identifier for the device used to assign the purchased tickets to this device.
Near Field Communication (NFC) control: The functionality is required for NFC devices to

  • read and actualise the eTicket-RheinMain
  • pay purchesed RMV-HandyTickets via girogo.Nach oben

Why is the purpose of the "Messages" tab in the RMV-App menu item "More"?
In the messages menu you can administer push notifications that were sent to you from the RMV.
You can always access these notifications via the “Messages” menu item.
